Welcome to Holymoorside Tennis Club, situated two miles west of Chesterfield, close to the boundary of the Peak District National Park. The club offers a quieter more casual alternative to the Town centre clubs, open to all ages with social events a plenty.
The club boasts three tarmac outdoor courts (resurfaced two years ago, changing areas, kitchen and toilet facilities.
Down at the courts there's always a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome to any new members. Membership is £70 for adults and just £15 for juniors (upto and including 16 years old).
Membership allows free use of the courts at anytime during the year, apart from when there's a match being held. There's regular morning social play every Tuesday and Sunday at 10am. Club night is on wednesday evenings for members only at 6pm. A summer coaching course is also available.
The Club fields teams in the Chesterfield and District Summer League, mens, ladies and mixed. Two teams are also entered into the Winter League which runs from September to March. There's also a Club Tournament with a trophy for the winner!
In addition to tennis, the club has an active social scene, which is open to members, family and their friends. There's also a treasure hunt, occasional bowling evenings, games nights, and informal meals out. Check out our calendar for social events.
In this idyllic countryside setting an additional bonus is the abundance of wildlife to be seen. Buzzards, kestrels and kingfishers are all frequent visitors to the area over and around the courts and river, as well as many other species of birdlife and animals.
